According to a national poll that will be released next week,(1st week of april '08)59% of doctors in the US want a single-payer, public insurance, private delivery, Canadian-style national health insurance system.That's up ten% from five years ago.Nurses agree.As do the overwhelming majority of Americans. Doctors say yes.Nurses say yes.The American people say yes. Nader/Gonzalez says yes.But the insurance industry continues to say no.The corporate Republicans and Democrats continue to say no.McCain/Clinton/Obama say no. So,on health insurance,the choice is manifestly clear.If you want a health insurance system run by the wasteful, bloated health insurance industry, then support McCain/Clinton/Obama.If you want a single-payer,national health insurance system,where everybody is in one pool, and nobody is out,with savings of more than $350 billion a year, then support Nader/Gonzalez.Simple as that.They are on one side.We are on the other.Which side are you on?The aim of the Nader/Gonzalez campaign?Stick it to both corrupt corporate parties in 2008.In every state in the union.Yesterday,we rang the bell in New Mexico.A couple of weeks ago, you,our loyal supporters,donated more than $10,000 over the course of a short couple of days to fund our ballot drive in New Mexico.As soon as you donated the money, we sent out our volunteers to New Mexico.And yesterday,at the state capitol in Sante Fe,our volunteers turned in 6,747 signatures,more than twice the number needed to put Nader/Gonzalez on the ballot in New Mexico.Mission accomplished.Thank you.Tomorrow,our volunteers will deliver more than 1,500 signatures,more than double the number needed,to the Board of Elections in Pearl City,Hawaii.Mission soon to be accomplished in Hawaii.In a little over a week, you helped raise over $50,000 to fund a ballot drive in Arizona. As a result,our folks are on the ground now in Phoenix and Tucson.In Arizona,we need to collect at least 40,000 signatures by June 4.We anticipate meeting the Arizona deadline and putting Nader/Gonzalez on the ballot in John McCain's home state.Again,thank you.Next up Kansas,we need 10,000 signatures to get Nader/Gonzalez on the ballot.We need to raise $15,000 to give the people of Kansas the chance to vote for Nader/Gonzalez and to help counteract the power of the agribusiness giants that dominate the Midwest.State by state,we'll put Nader/Gonzalez on the map.We would like to raise the money needed to fund our Kansas ballot drive in short order.We're looking for 150 of you,our loyal supporters,to give at least $100 each to put Nader/Gonzalez on the ballot in Kansas. Please,help us now to get 'er done in Kansas.The Democrats are just another corporate party.As such, they are a disaster for the American people.If you had any lingering doubts about this, check out the front page of the Wall Street Journal 4/4/08.The article is titled: Business Donors Bypass McCain,Democrats Rake In Cash From Industry by Brody Mullins.Mullins reports that both Obama and Clinton have been cleaning McCain's clock "among business interests that give mainly to Republicans."Of seven major industries that have been the most reliable Republican resources,McCain has raised $13.1 million through Feb,compared with $22.5 million for Obama and $27.1 million for Clinton,the Journal reported. Now, ask yourself,if the Democrats were the party of the people,if they were truly going to make the corporations serve the American people,would the corporate executives be dumping millions into their campaigns?No they would not.Right now,the American people are subservient to the corporations and their puppet politicians in both parties.Nader/Gonzalez would turn that around.Under Nader/Gonzalez, the corporations would serve the people.That's the message Nader/Gonzalez is taking to every state in the union in this 2008 election campaign.Today,our volunteers will be turning in 2,000 signatures in Hawaii,more than 3x the required number to get Nader/Gonzalez on the ballot in the Aloha state.one by one,we're working the states.
