Tom Biscardi is a controversial cryptozoologist, internet host, and documentary producer. He is the self-described “Real Bigfoot Hunter” and is a 35-year veteran of the “Bigfoot business.” Biscardi has been centrally involved in several notorious hoaxes regarding Bigfoot that have garnered widespread international media attention.
"I was watching John Carson in 1967, and I saw the first 8mm footage that Roger Patterson took of the Bluff Creek incident. I said to myself, 'How the hell can we send a man to the moon, but we can't find this creature'." Biscardi's first search for Bigfoot was documented in 1973 and then he produced a documentary film in 1981, "In the Shadow of Bigfoot." He is the current CEO and founder of BIGFOOT Inc.
Biscardi claimed to have access to a captured Bigfoot specimen and publicized a website that claimed it would show the captured bigfoot to the public via a $14 web-cam subscription. However, on the day the footage was to be distributed, Biscardi claimed he was "hoodwinked" by his team, and there was no captured bigfoot afterall. When the radio host, George Noory, realized the whole story was a fraud on the part of Biscardi, he demanded that Biscardi refund all the money to those who signed up for the web cam service.
