The Word Network is a Christian "urban religious network" in the United States. It caters to African-Americans and focuses on Urban ministries, Gospel music and family programming. The Word Network launched in February 2000 and is owned and operated by Adell Broadcasting.
The Word Network's calling card is "The Undisputed Source for Urban Ministries and Gospel Music".
The Word Network provides programming that is programmed with the urban community in mind. The focus of the network is to feature Urban Ministries, Gospel Music, live church conventions, musical specials and most recently, the convocation for the church of God in Christ. The programming covers a broad range of demographics from teenagers and young adults with a focus on contemporary Gospel music, to families seeking values consistently presented in a positive way, to the slightly more mature urban population that relates to many of the popular local, regional and national ministries. The Word Network features Bobby Jones, Creflo Dollar, T.D Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Dr. I.V Hilliard, Juanita Bynum, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Ken Copeland and many others.
