Susan Gibney, born in Manhattan Beach, California, is an American actress. She moved to New York at a young age, but is now again living in California since 1996. Susan graduated at Buffalo State College in New York with a major in theater. She additionally received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama. She now has two children. She is probably best known for her recurring role as DA Renee Walcott on Crossing Jordan.
Susan Gibney has a history of involvement in the Star Trek TV series, some of it behind the scenes. She appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation as Dr. Leah Brahms and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Erika Benteen. She was strongly considered for the role of Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, but the studio rejected her as being too young. She was later considered for the role of Seven of Nine and tested twice, but it is said that producer Rick Berman ended up choosing Jeri Ryan for this role at least in part because of her voluptuous figure.
