Mega Man 9 is an video game by Capcom, which has been rated in name by the OFLC. Details were confirmed via Nintendo Power that the title will be appearing on the Wii's WiiWare service. The existence of this game confirms that despite feelings to the contrary, Mega Man & Bass, although a sequel to Mega Man 8, is not Mega Man 9, just as Capcom has denied since the game's release.

The game is currently developed by Inti Creates, a company known for developing games in the Mega Man Zero series and Mega Man ZX series.
