Margaret Brennan is a General Assignment Reporter for CNBC. Brennan began her business news career at CNBC as a producer for financial news legend Louis Rukeyser. She wrote, researched and booked guests for the weekly "Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street" program and primetime specials. Brennan later worked as a producer on "Street Signs with Ron Insana" for which she coordinated guest bookings and produced interviews with President George W. Bush, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and others.

In 2007 Brennan was awarded a George Mitchell Fellowship. In 2003, she was named one of the top journalists under the age of 30 by the NewsBios/TJFR Group.
