Lynne Irene Spears (née Bridges; born in McComb, Mississippi on May 4, 1955) is an author and the mother of pop singer Britney Spears and teen actress Jamie Lynn Spears.
In 1975, Lynne married Jamie Spears (born July 7), the father of her three children. She taught grade school in the Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, until Britney, age 11, became a member of the new Mickey Mouse Club for the 1993-1994 season. Biographers of Britney Spears cite Lynne Spears as the main driving force and support behind Britney Spears's early career.
Spears allegedly sold the story of her daughter's (Jamie) pregnancy story to OK! for $1 million dollars.
