Julio Jones (born February 3, 1989, as Quintorris Lopez Jones) is an American football wide receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide, who was rated as one of the top high school receivers in the country. Jones and fellow-receiver A.J. Green led a 2008 NCAA recruiting class that is dubbed as being the class that brings back the tall, physical receivers.
Jones played his high school career at Foley High School in Foley, Alabama. He completed his senior football season in the fall of 2007. Julio participated in the Under Armour Prep All-Star Game, where he was recorded at 6'4" and 218 pounds. Julio was selected as a member of the USA Today Prep All-America Team (1st team), Parade Magazine Prep All-America Team (1st team), EA Sports Prep All-America Team (1st team), Scout.com Prep All-America Team (1st team), Scout.com Southeast Top 150 (ranked 2nd), Takkle.com Top 100 (ranked 1st), Rivals.com Top 35 Alabama prep players (ranked 1st), SuperPrep/Scout.com Top 30 Alabama prep players (ranked 1st), Mobile Press Register Super Southeast 120 team (ranked 1st), Mobile Press Register Elite 18 team (ranked 1st), Rivals.com National Top 100 (ranked 4th), ESPN.com National Top 150 (ranked 2nd), Tom Lemming/CSTV National Top 100 (ranked 3rd), and the SuperPrep/Scout.com National Top 100 prep players (ranked 3rd).
Jones was a five-star receiver. At the Baton Rouge Nike camp in May, 2007, Jones ran a 4.45 40 yard dash, an event-best 38.9-inch vertical jump, and was recorded at 6'4" and 215 pounds.
