About Honey Lee

Lee Ha-Nui (Hangul: 이하늬, born March 2, 1983), better known as Honey Lee in the Western media, is a South Korean graduate student and gayageum player who represented her country at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico City.

Lee is the middle child of two daughters and one son. Her father is a high-ranking official with the National Intelligence Service. Her mother is a professor at Ewha Women's University and was in March designated a "living cultural asset" in the field of gayageum (Korean zither) music. Honey, like her mother, is also a gayageum player, along with her older sister. She has been involved in volunteer work for UNICEF, Compassion and World Vision.

Lee competed in the 50th Miss Korea pageant, which she won. She graduated from the Seoul National University, with honors, after taking up Korean traditional music. She is currently a graduate student in the same university.
