Soul Plane is a comedy motion picture from MGM, released in the United States on May 28, 2004 (see 2004 in film). The predominantly African-American comedy stars Kevin Hart, Method Man, Tom Arnold, Sommore, D.L. Hughley, Mo'Nique, K.D. Aubert, John Witherspoon, Loni Love, Ryan Pinkston, Godfrey, Ying Yang Twins, Francine Dee, Lil' Jon, and Snoop Dogg.
Soul Plane deals with a man who starts an airline that caters to African Americans. However, the movie includes a white family, led by Tom Arnold, who also take a trip on the soul plane.
The story roughly follows that of the 1980 hit film Airplane!, with an allusion to that film and the TV show Soul Train in the title.
